May...out like a lion?

I thought that was supposed to be March! It's definitely been chilly around here. The world is all green and leafy, but it's grey and cold. A few areas have had snow too! No big surprise in Montana. I was excited that it was cool enough today to put on my cowboy boots. Not a sandal morning for sure! I would like some more sunshine soon though. It puts the town in such an amazing mood when it's nice out! Here's hoping for a few more sunny rays this week!

New Hobby!

Wow I have a lot of respect for middle school orchestra teachers! I thought band was bad enough at that age! I just rented a violin a few weeks ago and am trying my hand at it. Squeeeeeak! I'm getting better (you can generally figure out what song I'm playing) but it is wildly out of tune most times. Ouch! It's been a fun process. Hopefully I'll be concert-worth in the near future. :P

Memorial Day!

To all those who have served our country honorably! (And don't forget the animals too!) I loved this article I found on AOL about war-heros (of the fuzzy variety). Check it out!

Crazy May

This is one of my family's busiest times of year. We have multiple Birthdays, Mother's Day, Graduations, classes to teach. We also had the passing of a very dear pet this year. Needless to say, I haven't had much time to blog! Here's a little explanation of the month in pictures. :)

Clockwise: Bear has been getting lots of rides in the truck; Flowers are blooming by the river; Me and my boy are spending lots of quality time together; Roses are going crazy; Enjoyed ourselves at a horseshoe tournament; Celebrated sister's 30th Birthday; (middle) Then celebrated Mom's Birthday!

Run Run Run!

Our family's annual trip to Spokane WA for Bloomsday commenced again this last weekend. We take the town by storm and enjoy good food, good shopping, and always an IMAX movie. On Sunday my Dad and I ran the 12K race with the rest of the 47,000 participants. The sun shone and the sky was blue! It was almost too hot for running! I dressed in sequins for a little extra dazzle and had a great time. Another year down! What a treat those two days always are!
