It's Friday! So that means it's Photo Challenge day! This week, RAZMATAZ's theme was Closer. Yay for zooming in on details! I took the camera to work to see what I could find. The photo was taken in one of the chemistry labs on campus. Though I graduated with a Chemistry degree a few years ago, I don't often get to use that knowledge at work these days. Sometimes, though, I get lucky and get to work in this lab and analyze samples. The photo is of a collection of brown chemical bottles that were out on the lab bench yesterday, empty and waiting to be refilled. I love the brown glass and the little thumb-hole handles each one has at the neck.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I love it. It almost looks like a bird's face. I just love close ups. This one is great.
ReplyDeleteI thought the very same thing as Raz...just like a baby bird's face. Those jars look fabulous, although as with anything as metal as that, for some reason when I look at them, they make the metal fillings in my teeth sort of stand on edge...weird huh?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great shot...love the color and shape of the bottles. hugs♥olive
ReplyDeleteI love your photo too, Charlotte. I agree with Chania the handle does look like a little bird - Great!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great shot...lovely and very interesting too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture! "Bird" is the first thing that popped into my head too. I love the color of those jars. Ann
ReplyDeleteOooo, sooo cool! Love that brown color. LYS
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful shot. I love how getting in so close also highlights textures, illustrated perfectly by your photo. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI love these bottles! Almost too pretty for chemistry :D

How very pretty, I'm glad you got so spend some time in the chem building and get these great pics!
ReplyDeletepretty! I love those bottles too!
ReplyDeleteI was very tempted to buy a digital microscope that is made for kids recently - you just plug it into your computor and it shows on the screen. Could be useful for this challenge...
ReplyDeleteHi Charlotte
ReplyDeleteI understand your fascination with these bottles.. glass of any sort always fascinates me... Many years back my neighbour and friend worked at the local university.. she is a genetic engineer... I spent many a weekend in the lab with her setting up her experiments and loved it.. which is strange as I didn't have the same fascination at school.. Have a great week and thanks for popping over my way.. xx Julie
Nice picture, amazing what we can find in the workplace if we take a closer look.
